Courtney, a young single mom of two, lost her job due to unreliable transportation. With no family support, Courtney was unable to pay her rent to maintain her housing. Once evicted, Courtney became homeless and came to live at Miriam’s House. While living here, Courtney gained full-time employment, secured childcare, learned to budget, and found affordable housing. Thanks to your support, the family had the opportunity to get back on their feet and moved into their home just 4 months after becoming homeless. Reflecting on her experience at Miriam’s House, Courtney said, “I feel like a stronger and more independent mother!”
