2022 Annual Report
At Miriam’s House, we work each and every day to ensure that our community’s most vulnerable families have access to the basic need of housing. Through our programs our homeless neighbors are provided the resources and support to leave homelessness behind and rebuild their lives with dignity and restored hope.
Last year, our organization grew and expanded to meet the need of those experiencing homelessness like never before. As safety nets like the eviction moratorium and rent relief program ended, more families in the Lynchburg area became homeless than in the previous year and were in need of help. In response to this growing need, we served more children and adults experiencing homelessness than in any year of our nearly 30-year history. This is possible because of a committed team and a radically generous community of supporters. In 2022 alone, we were able to provide 462 of our homeless neighbors the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and support, including 140 children.
We are immensely proud of our work and are excited to share these accomplishments with you! Together, we are changing lives for the most vulnerable in our community.
